Bahrain a strong supporter of peace, says HRH Premier
Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said Bahrain has been – and will remain- a strong supporter of peace and all its efforts are aimed at achieving welfare of the people.
The Premier made the statement as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday Royal Family members and senior state officials, in the presence of the Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed.
The Premier thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership, the determination of the government and unity of the people, for overcoming all challenges.
“We should draw many lessons from the situation we had gone through regarding the importance of preserving the nation’s stability,” The Prime Minister said.
“We hold no hostility towards anyone. We do not interfere in the affairs of others, and we do not want anyone to meddle with ours,” HRH Premier added.
Tackling regional issues, Prince Khalifa stressed the GCC leaders’ sound policies have strengthened the region’s ability to safeguard their security.
The Prime Minister lauded the solid stances of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in defending the Arab and Islamic nations, stressing that Saudi Arabia is the protective shield of the nation.
HRH Premier also hailed the good Bahraini-Sudanese relations, praising the advanced level of joint cooperation. He commended the efforts of the Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain in this regard.
