Indian School, AMA win

Manama : The Indian School and AMA had winning starts in the Third School Mini Olympics yesterday. In the boys secondary stage football championship, the Indian School and AMA registered respective 2-1 victories over Kanoo International School and Al Hedaya Al Khalifia at the Bahrain Football Association grounds in Riffa.

In the same age category, Al Hekma and Shaikh Isa bin Ali schools eased past Al Wisam and Al Noor schools with identical 3-0 wins.

The opening matches of the 3-on-3 basketball championship, sees AMA top Group ‘A’ in the intermediate boys with victories over NMS-2 (14-3) and the Indian School ‘4’ (11-0), while NMS-3 took an early lead in Group ‘B’ beating Indian School ‘3’ and Multinational ‘2’ with the same scores of 11-0.

Al Raja ‘2’ recorded double victories over NMS-4 (9-3) and Indian School ‘2’ (10-3) to dominate Group ‘C’, while Group ‘D’ is being led by Othman bin Affan School, beating NMS-1 (19-3) and Al Wisam ‘3’ (11-0), respectively.

The Mini Olympics action continues today with the group stage matches in the secondary boys and girls basketball championships as well as the girls football and boys intermediate table tennis and the secondary boys and girls volleyball semi-finals.
