Bahrain banned textiles with patterns similar to military uniforms
Manama : Textiles with patterns similar to the military uniforms used in Bahrain have been banned according to a Ministerial order, it was recently announced.
As per the decision of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, import of two textile patterns similar to the official uniform of the National Guard is banned in the Kingdom, unless approved by the National Guard Command.
This was mentioned in the latest edition of the Official Gazette published on April 21. The article mentioned that the Minister has taken Decision 61 of the Year 2016 in regards to regulating import of textiles of the National Guard military uniform.
The Ministry’s Undersecretary for Commerce Affairs and the concerned authorities at the Kingdom’s entry and exit points are responsible for implementation of the decision.
