Suspense looms over Indian man missing in Bahrain

Manama : There is no end to the agony of Kunhabdulla whose nephew is still ‘missing.’

Yesterday, a DNA test was conducted to determine whether the body found in Sitra on Friday night was  genealogically related to the missing Indian expat Sadath Elangattil. But the test result has not been revealed by the authorities yet.

Kunhabdulla has been asked to report at the CID office today for further investigation.

“I am not ready to jump into any conclusions before the DNA test results are revealed,” he told DT News. “I am asked to report at the CID office today at 11 am  with the sponsor as I have lodged a complaint about man-missing,”

“I have seen rumours spreading on social media that the dead body is that of my nephew, but I can’t say anything for sure at the moment,” he added.

The dead body, found on   the northern side of Khalifa bin Salman (Hidd) Bridge, near the US Navy Base, was found in a decomposed state, especially the upper part including the head and shoulders.

Some relatives confirmed the identity, but others were sceptical. This led to the DNA test to determine whether the body is genealogically related to the missing person.
