BBK honours thirty-four long serving employees

Manama : Coinciding with the Labour Day celebrations, BBK honoured 34 of its loyal employees who served the Bank for many years and contributed to its success, at a ceremony held yesterday at the Gulf Hotel. 

Under the patronage of the Chief Executive of BBK, Reyadh Sater and in the presence of BBK Executive Management, the event was also attended by  A. Aziz Ahmadi, the Representative of the Bahrain Banker’s Union.

The 34 employees were awarded for their 5, 10, 15, 20,25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with recognition trophies and cash awards. Following the honouring ceremony, a luncheon was held in their honour.

During  his  speech, Reyadh Sater said: “The year 2015 has been filled with excellent achievements and we are also proud of  the results achieved in the first quarter of 2016 as we recorded a net profit of BD15.28 million, a 2.9 per  cent growth over the same period of 2015. 

On this  occasion, Sater also thanked the Bank’s employees and congratulated them for the success of the subscription to BBK capital securities offering  which exceeded 86pc.

Hassaan Burshaid, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources and Administration stated that BBK appreciates loyalty, hard work, and professionalism and always strives to reward its dedicated employees. 

“As part of the policy enhancements,  and to increase the number  of honourees in the Service Award Ceremony,  the Bank  has now included in this honoring, employees with 5 years’ service at the Bank,  to increase their loyalty and encourage them to grow with BBK. It has also enhanced the reward scheme for all the honorees to meet today’s evolving  needs” added Burshaid.
