Egyptian President receives Bahrain King in Cairo

Cairo : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Cairo yesterday on an official visit to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to hold talks on fraternal relations and solid historic ties.

Latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest will also be on the agenda. HM the King was received at Cairo International Airport by President El Sisi, Minister of Petroleum Tarak Al Mulla, Head of Mission of Honour, Bahrain Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and members of the Mission of Honour. The two leaders then headed to Ittihadiya Palace, where an official ceremony was held for HM King Hamad marking his visit to Egypt. 

In a statement on his arrival, HM the King expressed delight at visiting Egypt, hailing long-standing relations down the generations. Stressing the importance of the talks, King Hamad said it would strengthen bilateral relations and consultation towards building a brighter future for the two countries, the Arab and Islamic nations. 

“The Kingdom of Bahrain holds Egypt in high esteem,” HM the King said, commending its crucial stances, as a pivotal country, in advocating Arab causes, as well decades-long role in supporting Bahrain in various fields, including education and the judiciary. 

King Hamad reiterated Bahrain’s stance in support of Egypt’s stability, expressing full solidarity with the dedicated efforts led by President El Sisi and his government to achieve the Egyptian people’s hopes of development and prosperity. 

HM the King backed ambitious visions, which aim at strengthening the pan-Arab role, regionally and internationally, and achieving the aspirations of Arab countries for more stability and prosperity. 

HM the King expressed confidence that his talks with President El Sisi would bear fruition and contribute to strengthening steadily growing relations and enhancing joint cooperation.
