Video of girl being molested goes viral in Bahrain

Manama : A video of a man trying to molest a schoolgirl is going viral among social media users in Bahrain.

There is no confirmation about where this incident happened, though the description on the video claims it happened in Bahrain.

The molester and girl look to be Asians (most likely Indians).

The CCTV footage, recorded on April 24, 2016 at around 2pm, shows the entrance of a residential building.

The 47-second long footage, shot from inside the building, begins with the girl (dressed in  school uniform) entering the building.

Soon a man follows her and grabs her bag, possibly to stop her.

It looks like he was trying to forcibly kiss her.

The girl is seen trying to fight back and resist his moves by hitting him constantly.

He lets her go and is seen exiting the building as if nothing has happened.

He immediately opens the door again as if to tell the girl something and leaves.

The girl then walks up the stairs as the footage ends.

DT News has reported this video to Bahrain’s Interior Ministry since the video claims to be shot in Bahrain.

The uniform the girl wears resembles that of a community school’s in Bahrain.

An official from the school confirmed that the incident did not happen at their campus.

“We don’t have such a staircase pattern in our school and the man in the video is not familiar,” he told DT News.

Hundreds of Bahrain residents have shared this video on social media and has showered the molester with abusive words.

They have also pleaded to authorities in Bahrain to find and punish him, if this did happen here.
