Alba backs health, safety conference

Manama : Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) yesterday underlined its commitment to safety and health by sponsoring the 3rd National Occupation Health and Safety Conference and Exhibition, which began yesterday and continues today at the Gulf Hotel.

Held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the event is organised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in
collaboration with the Occupational Safety and Health Council. 

Alba’s Acting Chief Operations Officer, Amin Sultan and Acting Manager, Safety, Health and Environment, Manager Mohd. Khalil Saeed attended the opening ceremony held yesterday. 

Commenting on the occasion, Alba’s Acting COO Amin Sultan said: “We believe that we can do more than necessary when it comes to safety, health and environment. Through our participation in this important event, we look forward to gaining more knowledge and expertise from the presenters and
speakers.”

In its third edition, the National Occupation Health and Safety Conference and Exhibition promotes awareness of vocational safety and health through its exhibition and conference. It also showcases products by local and foreign companies with regards to occupational safety.

Alba also announced it would launch its new safety campaign in May 2016 as part of its ongoing drive to keep safety as number one priority.
