New India Assurance Co. opens branch in Busaiteen
Manama : New India Assurance Co opened its fourth office in Bahrain in Busaiteen, yesterday. Chief Guest Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Baker Executive Director, Financial Institutions Supervision, CBB inaugurated the branch in the presence of Guest of Honour, Alok Kumar Sinha, Indian Ambassador, Fouad Wahid A Abdulla, Director Insurance Supervision, CBB, Nawar Al Wazzan, Manager Personal and Govt Relations Intercol, Senior Managers of JA Zayani & Sons, businessman Baboo Kewalram.
Vineet Kumar, COO New India Assurance welcomed the guests, customers officials and media representatives. On the occasion, New India also launched its Coffee Table Book at the hands of the dignitaries.
The new office will cater to residents of Busaiteen, Muharraq, Arad and neighbouring areas. New India hopes to issues polices of all lines of business from here but presently it will be motor. Residents living in the area can avail Limited period inaugural discounts in Motor policies .
Directly or Indirectly New India participates in all the major Property, and Construction risks in Bahrain from Alba to Bapco to Financial harbour to Malls to bridges, highways, Factories, Ships and business big and small.
New India Bahrain started operation in 1959 by way of a Royal Order, by then Her Majesty’s British Political Agent, E P WILTSHIRE. Its First year premium was Indian Rupees 139000. Bahrain’s currency was Indian Rupees till 1965. New India now does almost BHD7.5 Million premium.
It has a network of 2500 offices in India with more than 18000 Employees and branches in 28 Countries and with five operations in GCC in Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi.
Last Fiscal the company completed US$2.75 billion Global Premium.
The company also said it has plans to expand its customer base in Bahrain by opening their next branch in Hamad Town by this year end.
