BKS May Day celebrations

Manama: The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) will conduct various cultural and sports activities on May 1 as part of the May Day Celebrations

The event is dedicated to workers in Bahrain, especially those less privileged ones who are staying in camps across the Kingdom. This was announced by BKS Acting President Francis Kaitharath and General Secretary N.K. Veeramani in a press conference yesterday on the BKS Premises. Over 1,500 people are expected to attend various activities as part of “May Day Celebrations.”

BKS will also conduct a Free Medical Camp, from 9am to 1pm on the same day with support of renowned doctors and a paramedical group. Being a daylong event, the organisers will arrange transport to and from the camps as well as cater food for the participants.

The competitions are open to people who are working in Bahrain. Competitions include tug of war, May Day songs, Malayalam and Hindi film songs, and Light Music. Those who are interested can participate individually or representing their company as well.
