INDIAN SCHOOL MEGA FAIR & FOOD FESTIVAL

Time : 4pm to 11pm

Venue: Indian School

The Indian School Mega Fair and Food Festival will take place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April 2016 at the Isa Town campus from 4 to 11 pm. Highly popular Vineeth Sreenivasan an Indian playback singer, film actor, director and screenplay writer and contemporary singers Akhila Anand, Arun Raj, Shipa Rao and Vipin Aneja from India will enthrall the audiences on both the days. Varieties of Indian food will be at the fair for all to enjoy. There will also be a very special exhibition where electronics, household gadgets and even advanced learning skills will be on display.

 

CUT & WEIGHT @ FLAMES

Enrich your dining experience at Flames Restaurant with our highly anticipated ‘cut and weight’ concept where you can select the preferred size of your own Angus marbled tenderloin. If you guess the weight of the prime cut correctly to within 5g either way, it’s on the house! 

 

SALSA NIGHTS AT MAI TAI LOUNGE

Are you ready to experience one of the Hottest Salsa Nights in Bahrain? Join us for a night full of sizzling dance demonstrations at Mai Tai Lounge, the evening will kick off at 10PM. Everyone is welcome to dance and practice salsa. Dance and Martial arts instructor Jaff has brought to Bahrain his remarkable dance expertise. His growing passion for salsa took him to Spain where he met instructors who trained him in Cuban-style salsa.

 

PHA CHANADAI – LIVE CONCERT

Z lounge club holds Labour Day celebration dubbed as PHA CHANADAI – LIVE IN BAHRAIN, together with their House Disc Jockey. It’s a live musical concert that features Chanadai, an international actor from Thailand film & television industry and it is a treat to all Thai expatriates who rendered quantitative and qualitative services in the labour industry of Bahrain.

 

MIXED MEDIA DREAM CATCHER WORKSHOP

Mixed media dream catcher on canvas is a workshop for children over 12 years and adults. The Art House is a place where all aspects of art is touched. Whether it’s to create your own masterpiece, activities for the children, a special gift for someone or learning a new art form, the Art House offers something for one and all.

 

BIG TEXAS TURNS ONE

Venue: Big Texas Barbeque & Waffle House

Big Texas Barbeque & Waffle House has their first anniversary celebration today. Doors will be open to their supportive and loving clientèle to enjoy an evening directed and choreographed by Juni Capulong where food and fashion meet as one. The celebrations include a unique western Bohemian inspired fashion.

 

PAINTINGS EXHIBITION: LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON

Time: 7pm to 9.30pm

Venue: InTouch Gallery

A fun and unique exhibit will feature the works of father and son artists Kamal Abdulla Al Al Abdulla and Yaqoob Kamal Al Abdulla at the InTouch Gallery, Janabiya. Kamal works in colourful acrylic, mixed media and collage while his son, Yaqoob, a Kanoo International School student, uses paint or markers to create singular and imaginative scenes.

 

ARABIC MANUSCRIPTS

Time: 8am to 8pm

Venue: Bahrain National Museum

Arabic manuscripts reflect the splendour of Arab civilization and its cultural achievements in the various fields of knowledge. The libraries of Bahrain, like those found in other Arab countries, contained prized collections of rare manuscripts. The displayed collection features some rare and exquisite illuminated manuscripts that are shown to the public for the first time to “Manuscript Day”.
