Foreign Ministry condemns Aleppo hospital bombing

Manama  : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday strongly condemned the brutal bombing that targeted Al Quds hospital in Aleppo, Syria, resulting in the killing and wounding of dozens of people on April 28.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed that all parties needed to adhere to the agreement of cessation of hostilities, which was reached on February 27, and to ensure the establishment of peace and pave the way to a political settlement.

The Ministry also expressed deep concerns regarding the serious escalation and severe deterioration in the situation in Aleppo.It called on the international community to provide all necessary means of assistance to deliver essential services and facilitate passing of humanitarian aid for the Syrian people. The Ministry also urged to intensify efforts to stop the violence and ensure adherence to the ceasefire and the implementation of the UN resolution 2254, which aims to ensuring stopping the bloodshed and leading to a political solution to the Syrian situation.
