Bahrain delegation visits Suez Canal in Egypt
Cairo : On the sidelines of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Egypt, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and a number of entrepreneurs visited the Suez Canal yesterday.
During the visit, the delegation visited Simulation Centre of the Suez Canal and met the Canal head of the Suez Authority General Mohab Mamish, who briefed the delegation about the history of the canal and its important economic role for the Egypt. The Suez Canal is considered as a key supplier of hard currency in Egypt.
He also noted its influential role in promoting tourism in Egypt. He added that the canal achieved the highest revenue since it was established in 2014 when it generated $5.3 billion.
