Egypt visit strengthens ties
Manama : His Majesty His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa underscored the importance of his official visit to Egypt, which, he said, would consolidate joint cooperation to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the two peoples.
Speaking to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over phone, HM the King thanked him on the warm welcome and hospitality he found along with the accompanying delegation. He wished Egypt and its people further progress and prosperity.
HM King Hamad returned to Bahrain from the City of Sharm el-Sheikh, concluding an official visit to Egypt at the invitation of President El Sisi. The two leaders discussed strong bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues.
HM the King was welcomed on arrival by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He was seen off earlier at the City of Sharm el-Sheikh by South Sinai Governor Major-General Khalid Fouda, Bahrain Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and senior Governorate officials.
