Aster Medical Centre hosts Neurology expert

Manama : The Kingdom’s friendly neighbourhood family clinic, Aster Medical Centre, is hosting Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery Dr. Dilip Panikar from May 8 to 10. The renowned doctor will be offering consultations and a one-credit Continuing Medical Education (CME) class accredited by the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Panikar, who currently works at Aster Medcity in Indian city of Kochi, has over 26 years of medical experience in micro-neurosurgery as well as highly advanced and unique neurosurgical procedures. He also specialises in neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, skull base surgery and reconstructive surgery for craniofacial deformities.

During his visit, Dr. Paniker will offer consultations on lower back pain, spondylosis, sciatica and issues related to neurology for just BD15 at Aster Medical Centre in Gudaibiya.

Dr. Panikar will also offer a CME for medical professionals on “Mechanical Neck Pain” at The K Hotel in Juffair on May 9 at 1:30pm. The session will cover the causes, symptoms and management of musculoskeletal strains in the neck. All attendees will be awarded one-credit point by the Ministry of Health. 

The consultant’s visit is in line with Aster’s commitment to raising healthcare awareness and reducing the prevalence of non-communicable diseases in the Kingdom. 

Earlier this year, Aster had hosted Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist Dr. Prasad Krishnan and Senior Cardiac Consultant Dr. Anil Kumar.
