Manama : Bahrain’s Khalid Hamad Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) team have named eight Bahrain fighters who will compete in the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Amateur Ultimate Fighting Championships from July 5 to 12 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Nevada, US.
The fighters will compete in five different categories and will feature in this championship for the second time.
Among those competing are Hussain Ayad in the 56kg category, who has a five win two loss record and is a winner of a bronze medal in the European Championship, besides a gold in the Asian Championships in India.
Abdulla Sina (9-2), who has also won a gold at the Asian Championships will compete in the 61kg category.
Other squad members: 56kg: Fahd Abdul Razak (5-2), 65kg: Isa Al Amiri (3-2), Hamza Yusuf (0-2), 66kg: Abdulla Al Fayez (3-0), Mohammed Adnan (2-1). 77kg: Ali Ebrahimi (5-2).
