Bahrain-US relations discussed
Manama : Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday met a delegation of United States Congressmen led by Representative Michael McCall at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince and the Congressmen discussed a range of shared Bahrain-US interests and a number of regional developments.
Prince Salman highlighted the importance of the joint work carried out by both the countries, which is underpinned by long-standing strategic relations.
In this regard, the Crown Prince reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to bolstering coordination and cooperation in all areas, including efforts to align regional and international efforts to combat all forms of terrorism and eliminate radical ideologies. The meeting also discussed ways in which relations could be further strengthened, with a particular focus on securing lasting stability in the region.
