Bahrain restaurant fined for running illegal disco
Manama : The Lower Criminal Court has charged two Managers in a restaurant in Gudaibiya with a fine of BD500 each and ordered for the closure of the facility.
The owner of the restaurant was also ordered to pay BD26,800 for converting it to a disco. According to court files, the two managers changed the activity of the restaurant and made it a disco while failing to settle relative fees to the tourism authorities.
They were caught by a Tourism Inspector, who was inspecting restaurants and hotels. The Managers were charged with carrying out activities without a licence from the competent authorities. The owner, meanwhile, was accused of failing to pay the fee.
