Easy victory for Indian School in U-14

Manama: The Indian School easily defeated Combined School-1 by 75 runs in Under 14 Junior Cricket Championship at the National Stadium ground, organised by Cricket Bahrain Association (CBA) under the patronage of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).

Batting first, Indian School made 142 for four with opener Govind Bingly(31) top scoring and getting good support from the captain Anuj  Ramesh (21) and the other opener Anand (18), but the highlight of was a quick fire 21 from vice-captain Mohammed Muflih, while Asdon Fernandes (two for 19) was the best of the Combined School bowlers.

In reply, Combined School were bowled out for just 67 with Hisham (22) offering the only resistance, while Srivastav Murali and Gaurav Bhogate picked up a couple of wickets each.

Eight teams are participating - The Indian School, Bahraini Youth team, Combined School-1, Rest of the Schools, Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School, Pakistan Combined, New Millennium School and Combined School -2.

Other results:

Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School 118/8 (Zeeshan 32no, Ayush and Ekanth took 2 wickets each) bt New Millennium School 104 (Sparsh 18, Omer 3/13, Safwan 2/19) by 14 runs.

Rest of the Schools 94/4 (Gautham Chabra 26, Krithik 3/25) bt Combined School-2 93/7 (Sayed Azam 54, Ajith 2/17) by six wickets.
