Asian doctors fined for practising medicine without licence in Bahrain
Manama : The Lower Criminal Court has slapped two Asian medical doctors with a fine of BD 2,000 each for extending medical services without having the necessary licences.
Moreover, the court has also ordered to shut down the clinic. The offences committed by the duo were discovered during an inspection visit made by a representative from the National Health Regulatory Authority.
The two doctors were found to have submitted the necessary applications to receive the licences.
However, the aforementioned authority recommended to delay the permission until they provide the full structure of their organisation, including the number of medical doctors who would be appointed as well as their qualifications.
They were then charged with practising medicine without a licence.
