Director-General of the Capital Trustees Board Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa confirmed efforts have been stepped up to maintain the Manama Central Market ahead of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
He was speaking as he inspected the Manama Central Market, along with the Capital Trustees Board Chairman Shaikh Mohammed Ali Al-Khuzae, Property and Parks Zuhair Al-Dallal and other officials.
He said, through the visit, the Capital Board wanted to check the progress of work and be informed about the remarks of traders and merchants.
He confirmed the panel’s constant keenness to follow-up on the daily work and cleanliness of the market.
He added control campaigns were intensified recently to ensure vendors’ commitment to their allocated locations, and take immediate measures against violators. He noted 60 cleaners have been provided to clean the market from 04:00 am to 10:00 pm.
