Bahrain Alpha Fire Safety emerge champions

Manama: Alpha Fire Safety defeated Eagle Eye Bassali by five wickets in the Final of the Sprite-sponsored CBA BCL T20 Premier League at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Eagle Eye Bassali made an impressive 187 for seven with good knocks from Asif (52 off 28 deliveries), Zulfiqar (51 off 33), Saqib (39 off 23) and Safdar (22 off 26) with the wickets taken by Tilina (two for 26) and Irfan (two for 32).

Alpha Fire Safety then reached the target with three deliveries remaining in scoring 189 for five in 19.3 overs thanks to fine knocks by Fiaz Ahmed (86 off 49) and Sameer (63 off 49) with Naveed (three for 31) and Abbas (one for 34) picking up the wickets.

Semi-finals: Eagle Eye Bassali 97/5 in 15.3 overs (Rafi 51) bt Pak Lions 96 all out (Ateeq 30, Rafi 3/19) by 5 wickets.

Alpha Fire Safety 111/0 in 15 overs (Fayaz 52, Akmal 45) bt Awan CC 106 all out (F.Shabir 25, Omran 4/24) by 10 wickets.
