Discover Islam Society’s ‘Go Green’ event
Manama : Discover Islam Society - Malayalam Group in association with other language groups will organise the annual walkathon entitled “Go Green” today between 4pm and 9pm at Dohat Al Arad Park, Muharraq.
Some of the other activities for the event include an Information Corner that features posters, banners and collages, presentations on various subjects like Islamic Eco-Friendliness, Natural Medicines and Fitness Awareness, a Calligraphy Corner, a Walkers’ Club, Cycle Club and much more.
“This event is open to all and free to participate. More than 2,000 people are expected this year, who will be assisted by 250 volunteers,” said a press release.
