Bahrain reduce jail term in fake bomb case
Manama : Three men convicted of placing a fake bomb in the area of Tubli have had their jail terms reduced to seven years behind bars each. They were earlier handed down 10 years in jail each.
The defendants reportedly placed the device during a riot, which broke out on December 5 two years ago, where rioters burned tyres and placed concrete blocks on a vital street.
When police officers arrived to disperse the mob, they found that it was a fake bomb. Police investigations found that the trio were among the rioters. The identity of other culprits is still unknown.
