Individual sports included

Manama : HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee,  has instructed several individual sports categories to be added to the second supporting championship of the HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Football Tournament “Nasser 9”.

These include penalty shoot-out for people with special needs, table tennis, swimming and bowling.

The championship also includes a competition featuring several football academies as well as a women’s football tournament and athletics. This comes in line with Shaikh Nasser’s keenness to provide a platform for individual sports during the event and allow participants of these sports to play an active role in promoting and developing these sports.

The organising committee of Nasser 9 headed by Tawfeeq Salehi also held a meeting with the General Secretary of Bahrain Olympic Committee Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, who is also the president of the Advisory Committee to the championship. 

This was held in the presence of representatives from the associations participating in the championship to discuss the facilities for the games and ensuring its success and making sure all preparations where in place and further development of Bahrain clubs and sports teams in different sporting events worldwide.
