Bahrain court commutes jail term in cop attacking case

Manama: The Supreme Appeals Court commuted the jail terms of four persons accused of rioting and attacking police officers in Duraz.

They were earlier slapped with ten years each in prison but the appeals court cut their terms to 7 years each.

A fifth appellant, however, saw his appeal rejected and his prison term was upheld.

Around 80 masked miscreants took part in the event, where they chanted anti-government slogans.
