Kingdom of Bahrain trophy: Hassan, Salehi win grand prizes

Manama : Manager of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Dr Khalid AhmedHassan and Tawfeeq Salehi, the manager of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s media office and information centre were crowned the grand prize winners of the Kingdom of Bahrain Trophy at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in the UK.

The show-jumping competition featured many international participants including Bahraini rider Shaikh Hassan bin Rashid Al
Khalifa.

American rider Kent Farrington riding Creedance was the winner, followed by Briton John Whitaker riding Argento and  Italian Piergiorgio Bucci riding Casallo Z in third place.

Dr. Hassan extended the winners warm greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative  of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. He pointed out that the festival represented a great opportunity to promote Bahrain and highlight the modern achievements of the country during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Dr. Hassan praised the Royal Endurance Team’s keenness in following the directions of Shaikh Nasser to promote the modern development and achievements being witnessed by the Kingdom in global events, especially in sports.

Salehi pointed out that this grand international festival for equestrian sports contributed to the development of the sport in the Kingdom. He declared that the event represented a great opportunity in promoting Bahrain across different
fields.
