Groom divorces ‘chatting’ wife on wedding day
Riyadh : A Saudi groom stunned his bride when he divorced her on their wedding day after she told him chatting with her family and friends is more important than him.
The groom had just gone into his hotel room after the wedding ceremonies when he noticed his wife was busy chatting with her family and friends.
“He went close to her but she rebuffed him. When he asked her to leave the mobile phone, she told him that chatting with family and friends is more important to her than him,” the Arabic language Alwatan daily said in a report from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.
“He immediately divorced her. Relatives and friends attempted to mediate between the two but the groom insisted on divorce.”
