BTF hosts second JTI championship
Manama: Bahrain Tennis Federation is hosting its Second JTI Tennis Championship which got underway with first round matches on Tuesday and concludes today on its courts at Bahrain Polytechnic in Isa Town.
Around 40 youngsters of different nationalities registered to compete in three unisex categories - Under-12, 10 and 8 over one set.
It is noteworthy that the tournament is held in the framework of the (JTI) programme organised by the International Tennis Federation for the development of tennis in the West Asia region, which Bahrain Tennis Federation is keen to promote.

Under-12: Sparsh Parmar bt Vaneesh Mollat 7-0, Erwin Godinho bt Owen Verbeek 7-6, Jaber Bader bt Afzal Junaid 7-0, Ken Belt bt Kasuma Miyawaki 7-4, Sunil Anshuman Sunil bt Essa Al Qattan 7-2, Abdulla Nass bt Mariam Essa 7-3, Riko Takano bt Kishan Pagadata 7-3.
Under-10:Boudica Verbeek bt Nadeen Nader 6-4, 6-4, Sunil Rushikesh bt Savana Colkitt 6-1, Aire Alegria bt Rashid Al Thawadi 6-0, Ishan Upponi bt Khadija Moussa 6-3, Altair Marat bt Siddhart Rout 6-5.
