‘Bahrain’s digital expertise should benefit other GCC nations’

Manama : Bahrain offers the ideal environment for the localisation and the application of digital empowerment in education, said participants in the Gulf Education Future Technology (GEFT) Forum 2016, which concluded yesterday.

They added that Bahrain’s experience in the field of “digital empowerment in education” should be spread to other Gulf countries. 

This comes especially as the experiment succeeded in the Kingdom after it has been tested during the current school year in five schools in the various governorates.

Education Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Information Nawal Al Khater stressed willingness to cooperate with everyone to take advantage of this experience.

“We hold the last day of this forum in the regional centre for information technology, adopted by UNESCO and communication, and this is an indicator to the keenness of Bahrain to develop its expertise in the field of digital empowerment, which reflected the accumulated experience achieved through His Majesty King Hamad Schools of the Future.

She stressed that the Kingdom has a clear strategy in the application of digital empowerment in education, a strategy focused on building the basic skills of the student, such as communication skills, problem-solving skills.
