280,893 people entered Bahrain
Manama : A total of 280,893 people had entered Bahrain between May 12 and 18, said the Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence (GDNPR).
He added that 233,199 of them arrived from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries via King Fahd Causeway, 47,404 through Bahrain International Airport and 290 through ports.
King Fahd Causeway, the 25-kilometre-long terrestrial link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was opened on November 26, 1986. It has been used by millions of travellers and vehicles ever since, making it one of the busiest roads in the Arab world.
