BCCI committee reviews regional, overseas participation

Manama : The Promotion, Exhibitions, and Conferences sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently held a meeting in Bait Al Tijjar chaired by board member and committee head Ahlam Janahi.

The meeting stressed on intensifying the committee’s role in fulfilling the chamber’s strategy emphasizing the Bahraini presence in regional and international economic events.

It reviewed the features of the national economy to the world, in a bid to stimulate the influx of foreign investments and invigorate trade and business activities.  

The committee also discussed its participation calendar for the forthcoming period, which includes taking part in the “PR Summit 3” to be held in Ritz Carlton-Bahrain on June 1 and 2; the “15th Trade Fair of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States,” to be held in Riyadh from  May 22 to 26; and representing the Chamber in “Hannover Messe 2017” to be held in Germany in May 2017.

The meeting also mulled the preparations for “Bahrain India Week”, which will be held in Bahrain in November 2016; collaborating with the pearl, gold, and jewellery committee in organizing a gold festival; and asserted providing financial and logistic support to ensure the success of hosting the Arab Industries Exhibition in Bahrain.
