Bahrain seize boats for shrimping
Manama : Commander of Coast Guard, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi, announced yesterday that five fishing boats and half a ton shrimps were confiscated for violating the shrimping ban period.
“A total of 15 individuals were found onboard of the boats,” he said. The confiscations were part of a campaign carried out in association with a number of the Interior Ministry’s departments.
He said that legal actions were being taken and urged fishermen to stick to the law to avoid legal accountability.
