HM King concludes Saudi visit

Riyadh : Concluding his official visit to Saudi Arabia, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa left the country yesterday after performing Friday prayer. 

HM the King was bidden farewell by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Later, in a statement, HM King Hamad stressed the depth and strength of the long-standing Bahraini-Saudi relations, which are based on solid foundations that pave the way for constantly broadening fruitful bilateral cooperation in all fields.

HM the King also valued highly the vital role played by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, to consolidate joint GCC, Arab and Islamic action, address regional issues and strengthen the pillars of security and peace at the regional and international levels. 

HM King Hamad emphasised that Saudi Arabia will remain the strategic depth for the countries of the region and the strongest supporter of their causes.

Meanwhile, HM the King hailed the two countries’ keenness to continue their consultation and coordination on various issues. 

“The necessary efforts and support initiatives are aimed at creating a more secure and prosperous future for the region and its people through helping them overcome the challenges. The concerted efforts are also to counter and eliminate all threats, particularly extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” HM King Hamad added.
