Dadabhai Travel marks 35 years of travel excellence

Manama : Dadabhai Travel, a pioneer in travel and hospitality space in Bahrain and GCC, marked the 35th anniversary of its founding with a gala dinner at the Gulf Hotel on Thursday, May 18.

The glittering event saw participation from more than 250 guests comprised primarily of staff, airline executives and managers, and Dadabhai family members.

Dadabhai Travel Managing Director Aziz Gilitwala, said: “We are thankful to all our clients and partners as we look back at the last 35 years. It has been an incredible journey to become a leading provider of travel planning and tour services offering the best products, services, insights and recommendations to our clients.” The event also served as a key forum for recognising and honouring high achievers and top performers in the company.

Gilitwala said the company will continue to play a key role in the promotion and showcasing of the major tourist attraction in the GCC including Bahrain and in helping to build awareness of the potential and attractions that exist here in the region.

Dadabhai Travel General Manager Shahnaz AlQaseer stated: “Dadabhai Travel was established in 1981 in Manama. Today Dadabhai Travel has 17 locations in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Additionally, Dadabhai Travel has a subsidiary office in Mumbai, India.”

“The agency further operates four general sales representative offices, each for a designated airline, and 15 additional offices implanted within the premises of large corporates making it the largest travel agency in Bahrain, with a prominent presence in the GCC,” she added.

Dadabhai Travel is part of the Dadabhai Group, one of the most progressive and diversified conglomerates in Bahrain under the guidance of Chairman Mohammed Dadabhai, an exceptionally gifted visionary and business leader. He anticipated the potential in the travel industry and decided to establish a travel agency in 1981, entrusting the responsibility to the present Managing Director, who has been at the helm since its inception.
