Police officer shot at Sitra

Manama: Police have arrested several individuals suspected to be involved in the shooting of a policeman in Sitra yesterday.

This was announced by the General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science today.

According to a statement from Bahrain Interior Ministry, the injured officer was referred to a hospital for treatment and is now in a stable condition.

The General Director stated that investigators had uncovered evidence that led to the identification of a number of suspects, some of which have been arrested.

He said legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.

A Facebook page called Special Security Force Command of Bahrain (SSFC) has posted that the police officer named Ali Khamis Abdur Rasool was shot injured by terrorist group Sirya Al Mukhtar in Sitra., Bahrain yesterday.

According to sources he received 4 shots of 6mm gun on his head, chest, stomach and leg and his condition is critical.
