Food commodity availability, fixed prices affirmed

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has reassured consumers in Bahrain that all consumable goods will be available at fixed prices with the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, stressing the flow of the imported food commodities according to the market need.
The Ministry extended congratulations to Bahrain leadership on the advent of Holy Ramadan.
Undersecretary for Trade Affairs, Nader Al-Moayyad had met with food suppliers, representatives from importing companies and beneficiaries of government support for some food commodities on June 7. He was reassured on the availability of all basic food items, mainly those which are of high demand during Ramadan.
He said food suppliers have reassured him that market prices will be stable, moreover promotional offers on food commodities will be provided at variable competitive prices depending on food quality. Consumer protection officials also attended the meeting.
