RCO’s humanitarian vision highlighted

Istanbul : Minister of Shura Council and Parliament Affairs Ghanim Al Buainain highlighted Bahrain’s strategy for relief and humanitarian work based on the respect for human dignity and protecting human rights. He was speaking at the World Humanitarian Summit being held in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday.

The Minister pointed out many relief and humanitarian works carried out in various countries by the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) chaired by Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He added that the royal humanitarian vision focuses on education, provisions and health areas to ensure the continuity of hope. 

Al Buainain reviewed Bahrain’s efforts in providing humanitarian aid for a number of countries, such as the Philippines, Pakistan, Syria, Gaza and Somalia, as well as its efforts in the establishment of 14 schools and several medical centres in areas mentioned. 

He explained that the crises, disasters and armed conflicts that have occurred during the last two decades in many regions killed millions of people and damaged infrastructure. He emphasised on the respect for human dignity and promoting relief and aid work. 

The Minister also reiterated Bahrain’s support for all donors and humanitarian assistance for ensuring brighter and more humanitarian future.
