Bahrain New Indian School inducts student council for 2016-17

Bahrain: The New Indian School has formally inducted the Student Council in a Special Assembly for the academic year 2016-2017.

The Student Council Members took the oath and pledged to dispense their duties and responsibilities with utmost sincerity and integrity and to uphold the mission and the vision of the school.

Director and Principal Dr. V. Gopalan addressed the gathering and motivated the children through his enlightening words on the qualities of responsibility and leadership.

In his address, the Principal referred to India’s most celebrated social and spiritual leaders, Swami Vivekanada, and his principles of life. He advised the students to learn things in the proper light, not to play the blame game, take responsibility for their actions, extend a helping hand to others, be what they actually are and finally, believe that there is nothing impossible.

The House Mistresses representing the four Houses – Emerald, Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire – assumed the office.

The top nine Student Council Members for 2016-16 are Ansh Bhatia (Head Boy), Zain Khalid (Head Girl), Pratyush Dwivedi (Asst. Head Boy), Ruby Sara Varghese (Asst. Head Girl), Adnan Bin Alavi (Sports Captain (Boy)), Ayat Shaikh (Sports Captain (Girl)), Justlyn K. Johnson (Cultural Secretary (Boy)), Anuradha Lakshani (Cultural Secretary (Girl)) and Mohammed Ashiq (Band in-charge).
