‘Nasser 9’ holds its second meeting

Manama: The Advisory Committee of the second edition of Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Games “Nasser 9” held its second meeting under the chairmanship of Abdulrahman Askar, the General Secretary of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in the presence of the Executive Committee of the championship Tawfeeq Salehi.

Attending the meeting were members of the Executive Committee and representatives from different local sports associations, including Hassan Ismail, the Manager of the championship who is also the General Secretary of the Bahrain Football Association, Hisham Al Balushi, the Manager of the Sports Associations in the BOC, Fareed Taha, the General Secretary of the Bowling Association, Faisal Swar, the General Secretary of the Swimming Association, Rashid Al Buaineen, the Deputy President of the National Teams Committee in the Athletics Association,  Ibrahim Sayyadi, the General Secretary of Table Tennis Association, Abdulredah Sabt, representative from the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation and Khalid Ahmed, representative from  the Swimming Association.

Askar began the meeting welcoming attendees and stressed the importance of maintaining the hard work and make the best of preparations ahead of the kick-off of the tournament, considered as one of the main events in Bahrain’s annual sports calendar.

“The tournament has always provided a platform for sporting talent to shine, and this is owed to the plans and goals set by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee,”Abdulrahman Askar said.
