Askar hails snooker and billiards panel role

 General Secretary of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Abdulrahman Askar stressed the importance of the GCC Billiards and Snooker Organising Committee role in boosting its sports and creating a group of young athletes who are capable of competing on regional and international levels.

This was announced at his meeting with general secretary of the GCC Billiards and Snooker Organising Committee Mohammed Al Nuaimi of Qatar and other committee members, in the presence of Bahrain Billiards and Snooker Federation (BBSF) president Dr Saeed Al Yamani and board members Nezar Al Tublani, Munther Jawad and Zuhair Ebrahim.

During the meeting, Askar welcomed the visiting delegation and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Askar commended efforts of the GCC Billiards and Snooker Organising Committee in supporting both sports on the GCC level, and affirmed the BOC willingness to offer its contributions in order to ensure the success of the GCC Committee plans.
Al Nuaimi thanked Bahrain for the warm welcome and hospitality, and lauded the efforts and support of both the BOC and the BBSF to develop snooker and billiards in the kingdom, which has led to many remarkable results and victories for the nation.
