Bahraini fined for harassment
Manama : The High Criminal Court fined a Bahraini man BD85 yesterday for causing nuisance to a woman. The debt collector reportedly called the woman several times because she was in a telecommunication company’s debt list for an amount of BD85.
It’s alleged that he threatened her that the police would raid her workplace and arrest her, although her husband told him that he would settle the amount in the morning of the next day.
The woman told prosecutors that the defendant used inappropriate manner when he contacted her. The defendant was accused of disturbing the woman and misusing telecommunication means.
