Bahrain PM praises citizens’ patriotism, distinction
Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stated that the Bahraini people are united and cohesive, stressing that they have succeeded in thwarting plots against the nation under all circumstances.
The Premier lauded Bahrainis’ outstanding success in every field, which has gained the Kingdom regional and global honours and recognition.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, senior state officials, media and culture personnel, businessmen and citizens.
Prince Khalifa stressed that officials should assume their responsibilities and listen to the citizens to identify their needs and meet them.
“Our first and foremost goal is the welfare of the citizens whose interests are the focus of our attention,” the Premier said.
The Prime Minister urged everyone to cooperate to maintain the stability of the homeland and to optimise the hard-won national accomplishments.
“The events and developments in the region surrounding us confirm that security is an essential pre-requisite for progress and prosperity. We have to be resolved, now more than ever, to be committed to our national unity and strengthen it to ensure our country’s ability to confront various challenges,” the Premier said.
Prince Khalifa asserted that the ultimate goal of the government’s programmes is to fulfil the citizens’ aspirations for a secure present and a prosperous future.
Referring to the national press, the Premier lauded the pioneering role played by journalists in raising national issues and highlighting the citizens’ needs.
The celebration of the Bahraini Press Day is an opportunity to meet Bahraini journalists and columnists to appreciate them and express pride in the crucial role they are playing in defending the nation, the Prime Minister said.
Prince Khalifa emphasised that the development and progress boom the Kingdom is witnessing at all levels affirms the ability of Bahrainis to make success despite the serious economic challenges that have affected many countries.
