Capital Governorate Ramadan events announced

Manama : Director of Social Programmes and Community Affairs at the Capital Governorate Fatima Al Ghatam confirmed the governorate’s keenness to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan through a series of youth, cultural and social activities, in cooperation with relevant authorities.

Al Ghatam said, “These events provide innovative ways to welcome this dear occasion.”

She assured the launch of the fifth edition of the Nation of Mohammed (PBUH) programme, titled this year as ‘Proper Consumption,’ on May 31. The event will be held with the support of Bahrain Islamic Bank and
Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Contemporary Women Society.

She said, “The Ramadan evening event will be held on June 10 at 9.30pm in the Isa Cultural Hall with a lecture titled ‘The role of family in the upbringing of the young.’ It will be presented by Shaikh Daaiya Soleiman Al Jabeelan from Saudi Arabia and Shaikh Rashid Al Hajiri from Bahrain. The Gergaon Festival will be held on June 17 at 9.30pm in Seef Mall.”

She added that the ministry has finished printing the calendar for the Holy month, which contains prayer times and the dates of Ramadan Majlises.
