Carnatic concert on Friday
Manama : The Indian Fine Arts Society will present ‘Yuva Raagam’ featuring a classical Carnatic concert and a workshop on Carnatic music by renowned vocalist Sriranjani Santhanagopalan on Friday (June 3).
Sriranjani, daughter of the illustrious Carnatic maestro Neyveli Santhanagopalan, will be presenting a Carnatic classical concert at 6.30pm at the Bahrain Society of Engineers auditorium, Juffair.
An All India Radio “A” grade artist, Sriranjini has been honoured with several awards and accolades. She has travelled extensively leaving her audiences in awe of her talent.
She will be accompanied by P. Ananthakrrishnan on the violin and R. Sankaranarayanan on the mridangam.
On Saturday (June 4), Sriranjani will conduct a comprehensive interactive workshop on Carnatic music at the Ashrafs hall, Hoora, 6th floor, between 4-6 pm.
This workshop is aimed at giving students of music very valuable insights into the realm of Carnatic music. Both events are open to all. For further details contact 39135586, 39685173.
