Thumps up for Olympic Day
Manama : Bahrain’s recently-concluded Olympic Day festivities continued to receive praise as Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Strategic Planning Director Hasan Abdullatif gave thumbs up for this year’s event, celebrated all around the world.
Abdullatif stressed BOC’s keenness to celebrate this occasion every year like other national Olympic committees and to observe Olympic values of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.
“This year, we celebrated Olympic Day with the first-of- its-kind two-week programme featuring a variety of sports and entertaining activities promoting Olympic values as well as our special slogan ‘Move, Learn and Discover.”
Abdullatif said he was satisfied with the organisation which brought even greater success and significance progress achieved in last year’s edition, saying that the packed programme attracted big number of participants from all sectors of society and age groups.
