Bahrain arrest government official for fraud
Manama : A public official was arrested for forging official documents and embezzling funds.
The defendant reportedly issued illegal certificates by forging the data of particular employees. He also allegedly pocketed the fees for issuing those certificates.
An investigation was launched and fake certificates were recovered from his car following his arrest.
The documents were seized, legal action was taken and the case had been referred to the Public Prosecutor, said Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic & Electronic Security.
