Bombers slapped with life imprisonment
Manama : Five Bahraini bombers have been slapped with life imprisonment each.
According to court files, the defendants detonated a bomb in the village of Duraz, targeting police officers.
However nobody got injured in the explosion, and detectives later established the involvement of the defendants during police investigations.
Prosecutors said that the first defendant had agreed with the fifth defendant to plant the improvised bomb, and the former invited the other suspects to participate in the crime.
It is said that the bomb was provided by the fifth defendant.
Moreover court documents indicated that the second defendant constructed a fake bomb that was planted near a park in the village.
It was placed near the other bomb, which was triggered by a remote control.
