Melody queen Momotaz Begum to perform at ‘Dhoom 2016’

Manama : Momotaz Begum, the melody queen of Bangladesh, will participate in the musical event, “Dhoom 2016,” held at Bangladesh School, A’Ali , near Ramli Mall (close to Filipino School).

The musical extravaganza is hosted by Modern Exchange Company exclusively for its Bangla speaking customers. In October last years, the organisers had conducted “Dhoom 2015,” in which Malayalam playback singer K.S. Chithra and her troupe regaled over 8,500 of their Indian customers with endless melodies.

Momotaz Begum, who will be accompanied on stage by noted singer Rajib of “Bangladesh Idol” fame, is also a producer of Bengali folk music. She is also known as the “Music Queen,” popular for her unconventional lyrics. During her international career, which has spanned two decades, she has recorded around 700 albums.

The event is exclusive and free for all Bangladeshi customers of Modern Exchange. Any customer making one remittance to Bangladesh will receive a free invite to the event.

Momotaz Begum arrived with her team in Bahrain yesterday and took time out to meet and interact with Modern Exchange customers at their Bab Al Bahrain Branch, Souk Waqif, Hamad Town and at Bengali Gali Branches.

The event will commence at 6.30pm today and the seats are available on first come first served basis. “Customers are advised to bring the passes and their CPRs for hassle-free entry,” organisers said. 

Modern Exchange Company, which entered the Bahrain market in May last year, already operates from 12 locations.
