Bahrainis flay sectarian conflicts in Fallujah
Manama : Bahrainis have condemned the sectarian conflicts that are now taking place in Fallujah. In a seminar organised by The Gathering Of National Unity (TGONU), several political analysts and experts spoke about how the battles in Fallujah are based on sectarianism and revenge.
At the seminar, journalist and TGONU Board Member Muwafaq Al Khattab said, “The battles are taking place under the cover of fighting terrorism. The truth is that the people of Fallujah are under attack as a result of their strong resistance to the American occupation during the past decade. The Iranians are also involved in the battles because the heads of the Iraqi forces, which fought the Iranian Revolutionary Guard for over eight years in the 1980s are from Fallujah. This military campaign is to avenge and not to fight terrorism as they claim.”
Al Arabia news agency reporter Mohammed Al Arab also spoke in the seminar.
The Iraqi reporter described the battles as “fake.” “They’re claiming to fight the IS and other terrorist groups in Fallujah. Civilians are dying now and I’m sure that only tens of IS members are targeted in this sectarian campaign. They aim at subjugating the city to the Safavid ruling system in Iran, which is rapidly conquering Iraq.”
TGONU President Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Mahmood said that “Fallujah is paying the bills of the nuclear agreement.”
He pointed out that signing the nuclear agreement between Iran and the West had given Tehran more liberty to commit its sectarian crimes
in the region.
Dr. Al Mahmood added, “We sympathise with the oppressed people of Iran, who are suffering under the rule of this cruel Safavid regime.”
DT News reported yesterday that the Bahraini House of Representatives condemned the massacres, displacement of innocent people and the killing of children and women by the sectarian militias and the IS terrorist groups in Fallujah.
The Bahraini MPs called on Arab, Islamic and friendly countries to intensify coordination to put an end to the human rights violation taking place in Fallujah. They also urged for stopping terrorist operations carried out by extremist groups and to meet the citizens’ aspiration for democracy, security and stability.
